UPU marks Urhobo day, prayer session Friday, 7th Dec
The Executives of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU and her branches worldwide, will tomorrow, Friday 7th, December, 2018, marks Urhobo Day National Conference and Prayer Session at Mosogar, Ethiope West local government area of Delta state for the unity of Urhobo nation.
In a press statement released by the President General of UPU, Chief Joe Orode Omene and the National Secretary, Martins Awheyevu Mukoro, said the purpose of the prayer is to cleanse the land of infiltrations of strangers into the union.
The statement had explained that the union had decided to mark the Urhobo Day National Conference since it has been a tradition; hence there was need for this prayer session for the unity of Urhobo nation home and abroad.
According to the statement, the Urhobo Day shall feature Urhobo Cultural Dance by various Kingdoms and branches and will receive ten delegates from each Kingdom and five delegates from each branches as representative, with other lineup of activities.
