A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Delta state, Dr. Ovie Ughwanogho has congratulated the governor-elect of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano over his recent victory in the gubernatorial election.
Expressing joy over the recent election victory, he commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for its transparency during and after the polls.
According to him, “The emergence of APGA under Dr. Victor Oye as the national chairman, in Nigeria politics is the best thing that has happened in the recent times to the country going by the party’s objectives and believe in resourcec control and true fedralism as the panacial for the lingering Nigeria problem.
He said, Willie Obiano was the only governor who never own workers a kobo throughout his first tenure despite the economical and reccessional challenges that befell the country.
“It is time for all Nigerians who believe in the true change, federalism and restructuring to pursue the collective yearnings and aspirations APGA has created for fairness, political and economical freedom and equity.”
In a chat with newsmen at Eku in Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, Ovie described Willie Obiano as banker with passion for high standard, a transformational leader, pace setter whose intellect has restructure and reform the Anambra people.
“Obiano touched every sector throughout his first tenure, his administration has put schools, hospitals in place and the agricultural sector is revolutionized and his impact within the few years in Anambra state remains unbeatable and undeniable.”
While appealing to all to rally round APGA, Ovie passionately enjoin all and sundry to queue behind all the candidates of the party in Delta in the forthcoming council elections in January, 2018 to enjoy good governance and the true change they have been clamouring for.”
