ASABA – The state Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Comrade Kenneth Okorie has commended Gov. Okowa’s Initiative on the efforts towards the conduct of Town Hall meeting in the 25 L.G.As across the three Senatorial districts of the state for grassroots rating of his close to three years of administration.
Comrade Kenneth Okorie spoke to newsmen today in his office at Asaba during the courtesy visit to the State Youth Council by the Leadership of Delta cultural initiative (DCI) worldwide led by its founder/president, comrade Bieni .E. Victor.
Comrade Kenneth Okorie, in response to the DCI worldwide Leadership commendation of the Youth Council on their matchless support towards town Hall meeting exercise that has impacted on the grassroots uses the medium to state that, Deltans has a culture.Therefore, charges Political appointees in the State to be up and doing and ensure that Youth in their various constituencies are being empowered with different skills to promote youth Development, Empowerment and Sustainable Development in Delta State and Nigeria in general.
“The Governor is people friendly. Governor Okowa is running a Government that ensures that the grassroots has sense of belonging. The dividends of Democracy is felt by the masses in the State”, Comrade Okorie stated.
“Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has performed excellently. He has done well by ensuring that he engages the grassroots in a town Hall meeting. That is, what we want is that all Political Appointees should endeavor to empower youths in their various Localities. I mean, that the grassroots should feel their impacts. And the people should be well sensitized on the Policies and Programs of the Government. That is,the people should be well informed on what the Government in all the three Senatorial District of the state. We sincerely applaud the state Government Town Hall initiative”, Comrade Kenneth Okorie Stated.
