2017 is about to come to an end, and Tekno’s highly-anticipated debut album is still as elusive as ever. It’s hard to complain though, the “Pana” singer still managed to give us some of the year’s best songs — both as a producer and an artist.
Well, Tekno seems set to carry his endless winning streak into the new year by collaborating with none other than Drake. Although there have been no official announcements from either party, Drake recently shared a rather suggestive picture of the singer at work in his studio.
While we are not sure in what capacity both artists are currently collaborating — Tekno simply producing a track for the Canadian rapper or actually featuring on a song with him — we are excited to see what banger they’re able to come up with.
The last time Drake collaborated with a Nigerian artist, he ended up with one of the best selling singles of all time — in case you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, the artist was Wizkid, and the song was “One Dance”.
Granted, the odds of that kind of success being replicated are pretty low, but considering what Tekno was able to pull off for Davido with “If” and DJ Cuppy with “Green Light”, it’s not that far-fetched to expect him to make magic happen again.
