He said,
Dear Esteemed Supporters & Party Faithfuls, My heart is heavy following the ruling by the Court of Appeal, Asaba Division, against our gubernatorial candidate, H. E. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While we are disheartened by this outcome, I want to appeal to everyone to respect the decision of the court and remain committed to the progressive principles that bind our great Party.
In the face of adversity, it is crucial that we uphold the values of peace, unity, and respect for the Judiciary.
However, we cannot give up at this stage because it is not over yet. We will continue to fight for the mandate the good people Delta State gave us. I understand the disappointment you are feeling, but I urge you all to remain calm and maintain peace.
Our democracy is resilient, and the legal process offers recourse for those seeking justice. The Party has decided to seek justice at the Supreme Court, and we believe in the impartiality of the highest court in the land. We must continue to stand together and offer our firm support to our candidate and our Party.
Let us channel our energies into optimism and hope for a fair and just resolution at the Supreme Court. I have faith in the strength of our legal team and their arguments, and I am confident that the truth will eventually prevail and justice will be served.
In these challenging times, let us stand together, unwavering in our commitments to democracy and the ideals that make our great party and nation stronger. Your continued support and dedication to this cause is invaluable.
May we all await the Supreme Court’s verdict with patience and a belief in the principles that define us. There is light at the end of the tunnel. This, too, shall end in praise.
