The police attached to Ovwian division, have arrested three persons in connection with the alleged killing and beheading of a farm guard in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learned that fishermen on fishing harvest, have recovered the head of a beheaded poultry farm guard from a community river in Udu local Government Area of Delta State.
Though the report was sketchy, it was learned that the deceased, simply identified as Omadide Uruemu Peter, a poultry farm guard was behead and his headless body was dumped at Erhiephihor community by unknown assailants.
This is just as the police has arrested three persons in connection with the alleged killing and beheading of their victim.
According to sources, Mr Omadide Uruemu Peter, a father of one in his 30s was allegedly killed for praying too much at midnight.
The source said, “Before he relocated from Otu-Jeremi to Ovwodokpokpor, his neighbors complained that they were being disturbed by his prayers and they were tired of his midnight prayers.
He recently relocated from Otu-Jeremi to his current place of abode, Ovwodokpokpor before his unfortunate death.
Another source revealed that “The beheaded Mr Omadide Uruemu Peter was staying at Erhiephihor community in Udu LGA Delta state.
Contacted the secretary general Erhiephihor, Mr Daniel Omohovwighren said, “The incident did not not occur at Erhiephihor but in Ovwodokpokpo and after he was killed, the corpse was dumped in our community, (Erhiephihor.
After the incident, both communities went into action, thank God, they caught they invited the police and the vigilante, they want to their house arrested them, about three of them.
“The police took the corpse to the mortuary and those arrested were detained at Ovwian police station but as at yesterday, (Thursday) the president generals of both communities and the police transferred the suspects to Asaba.
“Also the head of the deceased was not recovered from the Erhiephihor community river but from Ovwodokpokpor river and those arrested are from Ovwodokpokpor as one of them is called Mathew.
“Three suspects have been arrested through the effort of the PG Erhipheyo and Ovwokpokpo, communities, one Ovwokpokpo boy, one ijaw and one Yoruba.”
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright who earlier denied and said the incident was False.
Edafe Bright said, “Anybody can post any head on the internet, D DPO said nothing of such.
