Following the recent killing of over 86 persons in plateau state by suspected Fulani herdsmen who claimed to have revenged the missing of over 300 cattle, senator Dino Maleye has called on the federal government to provide adequate security for Nigerians.
The chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Danaldi Ciroma disclosed that the attacks are retaliatory of the cattle rustling and destruction of farms between Berom and Fulani herdsmen where herdsmen have lost about 300 cows in the last few weeks.
Maleye, in a group WhatsApp message, said “I am deeply saddened by the killings around the country. It is bothersome to my spirit that 100s of people were murdered in cold blood in Plateau State over the weekend. Adding to the already recorded 1000s that have died around the country from the inhumane acts of these terrorists.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the victims and to all. We are all affected. We should all be outraged. We deserve proper and adequate security from our government! We must demand it! It is our fundamental human right!! God help! “ – SDM”.
