A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, and Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Hon Vera Ugbobor has donated three mono water pumps to Oviri-Ogor community in Ughelli North local government area of Delta state.
Speaking during the presentation, the donor Vera Ugbobor said, “I want my community to enjoy the dividends of democracy and in my capacity as Special Assistant to the governor, I have to give my people life because water is life.
According to Ugbobor, “I have seen that our people suffer from vulnerable diseases because they lack access to portable water and with the donation of these three mono pumps at different strategic locations in the community, it will give them leverage
“I was happy seeing them using the the water before this official commissioning and handing over to the community for usage and will tell you that the community has been longing to have this project.
What I have done for my people today by providing three mono water pumps at different locations in the community will go a long way to cushion and reduce the spread of communicable disease and I am not expecting anything in return but to see them happy.
Commending the effort of Hon Ugbobor, a community leader, Olorogun Hon Kpuwarah Anthony said, “This is giving back to the society and we as a community are glad that one of our own has send relief to our people by providing portable drinking water.
“I want to applaud the kind gesture of the donor and I am appealing to other to emulate the our daughter in bringing dividends of democracy to the grass root”.
