Leader of the group, Youth Movement for Good Governance, YMGG, Comr. Gabriel Udemude has called on Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Great Ogboru and Prophet Jones Erue to acknowledge Olorogun O’tega Emerhor as the leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta state.
Speaking, Udemude held that with the just concluded congresses and the swearing in of state executive members by the National Working Committee, NWC, it is glaring that Olorogun O’tega Emerhor remains the leader of the party in Delta state.
According to him, Chief Great Ogboru, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege are leaders but lack what it take to lead Delta State APC to victory in the 2019 general election.
“If the party in Delta State must be expositioned as a formidable political party in the state, then we must embrace people with good intentions, the wish of the people at heart and shun disunity among party members.
He said, “The good intentions of Emerhor has kept the party together till the arrival of Senator Agege from the Labour Party, LP, and Chief Great Ogboru from the Democratic People’s Party, DPP, few months ago.
“Chief Great Ogboru and senator Omo-Agege has created so much disunity amongst the party (APC) in the state forgetting that, unity is a necessary condition for moving forward.
“There are many lessons to take from this era of APC Delta State suffering under the yoke of self acclaimed selfish and greedy leaders.
“So many mistakes have been made in this current power tussel of Ogboru and Agege of who takes over the leadership of the party in the state and perhaps the greatest tragedy is not only penchant mistakes but for excusing them.
In repositioning the party in Delta state, Udemude opined that, “As a formidable political party with the intention to win the forth coming general elections, they must shun violence and embrace peace and dialogue and above all unity.
Udemude held that, Olorogun Otega Emerhor once said “unity is the great need of the hour. “
Let’s not forget that we are all woven together by God in a single beautiful fabric that is the envy of the PDP.”
