Nigerian Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki and governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are expected to be in Awka, the Anambra state capital, on Friday for the official flag-off of the party’s governorship campaign ahead of the November 18 poll.
The APC flag off campaign chairman in the state, Hon. Azuka Okwosa, disclosed this in Awka, in a press briefing on the preparation for the flag off campaign slated to hold at All Saints Cathedral Onitsha, the commercial city of the state.
He said some of the governors had already arrived ahead of the campaign, adding that arrangements were on to mobilize all Anambra people in and outside the state for the rally.
On his part, the Director General, Tony Nwoye Campaign Group, Hon. Oscar Ezenwa, revealed that notable members of other political parties willing to join the party, would be received at the flag off.
He maintained that the flag off would signal the final death of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
