One killed Over Land Dispute In Urhobo Community

The team leader of Delta State Vigilante in Agbarha-Otor community and a traditional title holder in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, Olorogun John Aregbor, has been allegedly macheted to death over a land dispute.
It was gathered that deceased was on Wednesday killed by his assailants at about 3pm on that faithful day while he was with friends.
Though the circumstances surrounding was sketchy as the the time of this report, sources from the community that one of his assailants has been arrested by security agents.

The source alleged that, Aregbor  was in the midst of some persons in part of the disputed land when the trouble started
His death has thrown the entire community into confusion as youths troop out to burn tyres to protest his death.
“He has been involved in a land dispute with some persons for some time now. This afternoon (yesterday) they were gathered trying to resolve the problem when some persons attacked him with a cutlass on his neck.
“One of his suspected assailants,  one Omarejivwie has been arrested after he was shot on the leg.
“After he was attacked, some persons tried to rush him to the hospital, but he died before their arrival”, a source who sought anonymity said.
At the time of filing this report, the community was wearing a mournful look as residents were seen in clusters talking in hushed voices.
Efforts to reach the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer DSP. Bright Edafe were abortive at press time as text message sent to his mobile line were not replied, but a senior police officer who confirmed the incident, said normalcy is gradually returning to the community.
