A suspected member of a rival cult group has been shot and he is currently battling to save his life in an undisclosed hospital in Ughelli North local Government Area of Delta State.
It was gathered, the unidentified victim was shot by three persons suspected to members of another cult group at Okorodafe axis of Ughelli metropolis over the weekend.
Sources revealed that there is a cult clash between Vikings and Maphite in Ughelli, Delta State.
“Last night, 3 members of Vikings, reportedly went to the Okorodafe area of Ughelli and shot a member of Maphite in the head.
“The injured Maphite member was promptly taken to the hospital, and his current condition remains uncertain.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide you with comprehensive updates as soon as they become available.”
Another source alleged that the shooting of the Maphite member by the Vikings was as a result of discrepancies over sharing formula after an undisclosed operation.
“The Vikings and Maphite went for an operation and after they return with their loot, at the point of sharing money, the member of the Maphite felt he was shortchanged and he shot the man and fled.
“On hearing the information, the Vikings regrouped and went for a revenge attack and on sighting a Maphite, three of them shot him on the head and fled the scene.
“He was rushed to an undisclosed hospital and currently we don’t know anything about him whether dead or alive “
