Omote Lauds Ewu Monarch For Resolving Assah, Omafuvwe Crisis

SENIOR Special Assistant to the Delta state Governor on Community Development, Prince Emmanuel Omote has commended the traditional ruler of Ewu kingdom for resolving the dispute between Assah and Omafuvwe communities in his kingdom.
It would be recalled that both communities of Ewu kingdom in Ughelli South Local government area were at loggerheads when a member from the communities was apprehended for defiling their land during their traditional festival.
It was gathered that scores of persons were injured, Houses and other properties were destroyed during the fracas before it was resolved by the traditional ruler, HRM Clement Ikolo.
Commending the monarch, Prince Emmanuel Omote said, “The  quick intervention of the king between both communities has curb the crisis from snowballing.
“And I want to commend his quick initiative in bringing the issues to an end despite his recent travails, arrest and release by the Nigerian military.
“He has shown his royal capacity in bringing back lasting peace to his people and it is worth commending and the leadership of both communities.
“The leaders of both communities should ensure that the peace brokered by the monarch should be respected by all because it is only in a peaceful atmosphere development can strive.”
