Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has commended the Chief Executive Officer, Building World Global Investment Limited, Pastor Irame Emmanuel, popularly called Mr. Quiscent for initiating and completing it’s multimillion naira shopping mall in Ughelli, ‘Shopfair Nigeria.’
Okowa said, while commissioning the project during the weekend, that it will assist the government is reducing unemployment which was one of the major challenges confronting the nation at the moment, adding that it will take such mega investments from private individuals and corporate bodies to expand the opportunities for job creation.
The Governor who was represented at the event by the Vice Chairman, Ughelli North Local Government area, Mr. Victor Uyo, maintained that government alone cannot solve all the challenges facing the state, and therfore called on well to do Deltans and good spirited Nigerians to emulate Pastor Irame by coming back home to invest and take up other challenges confronting Deltans.
The CEO of Building World Global Investment Limited, owners of Shopfair Nigeria Mall, Pastor Irame Emmanuel in a chat with Journalists, said the project was borne out of concern for the Ughelli people traveling far away Warri to get certian items due to a lack of a one-stop shop in UghellI, adding that apart from giving the Ughelli people and environs the best shopping experience they deserve, the project would also provide employment for a large number of youths in the area.
According to Irame, “this project marks an important moment in the growth and development of this vibrant city of Ughelli and also an important milestone for Building World Global Investment Limited. In his remarks, the Royal father of the day, His Royal Majesty, HRM. Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III, the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, thanked the owners of Shopfair Nigeria for bringing the project to Ughelli kingdom, noting that the project has changed the status of Ughelli from not just being a big city but a Mega City.
He said, “it is a very good thing they have done. This will help to reduce unemployment in Ughelli and also the risk in traveling to Shopright in Warri to buy certain items which are now available here. I’m very happy seeing this today.”
