A Chieftain of Alliance of Social Democrat party in Delta state, Hon Johnbull Okoro has called on Deltans to be patient with Governor Okowa over his appointment of State Executive Council members, stressing that, the Governor will appoint credible hands that will assist him in piloting the affairs of the State.

Hon Okoro stated this in a chat with newsmen in Ughelli, urging Deltans not to put pressure on the state Governor, noting that, “If we put pressure on the Governor it will affect the smooth running of good governance in the State.”

According to Hon Johnbull Okoro; “We Deltans need to put our selfish and tribal interest aside and pray God to grant Governor Okowa wisdom to chose credible men and women that will assist him to move Delta state forward in this second term of the Governor. This time, some politician are running here and there looking for favour from the Governor.

“The Governor needs our prayers and wisdom to identify the good and the bad once. Because not all that glitters are gold. We are all one in the State, irrespective of our political parties and tribes. So if the Governor appoint anybody, we should not criticise him. He knows those that worked credibly with him during his first tenure and those that did not performed up to expectations. So he know who to chose to fill any vacant position.”

Hon Okoro who also double as the State Chairman of ASD in Delta state, also added that, “Don’t be surprise that Governor Okowa will not appoint most of the former commissioners and SA, SSA, and others who served in his first tenure. Because they didn’t perform to the expectations of Deltans.”

Hon Johnbull Okoro also congratulated all the first set of Commissioners and SSA recently sworn in by the Governor, urging them to put their personal interest aside and work with Governor Okowa to move the State forward.
