Okata, Olokor, Others Elected Executives Of ODU

It was jubilation galore at Ovrode Community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday when the community elected,  Hon. Comr. Okata Simon Dickson as President-General to lead Ovrode Development Union (ODU) for the next three years.

 

The election which was said to have suffered some initial postponements was eventually conducted, by Isoko  North  Local  Government  Council  Chairman,  Hon Deacon Christian Iteire at the Council  Secretariat, when the entire members of the union both home and in diaspora agreed to continue leadership of the community with an elected PG and his executive.

 

Those elected alongside Hon. Comr. Okata Simon Dickson, are; “Mr Olokor Ovedhe Augustine- Vice President, Mr Emekoro Edafe C- Secretary General, Mr Oghonomelu Jeremiah- Assistant Secretary, Mr Ataizue Raymond-Chairman, Mr Aterouwhore Vincent- Vice Chairman, Mr Alighoda Ufuoma B- Treasurer, Mr Ogheghe Ernest A-Financial Secretary, Mr Ejetareme Solomon-Assistant financial Secretary, Mr Ezo Thomas- Publicity Relation Officer, Enegwero  Vincent… Central Planning Committee, Ocheghru Richard… Provost.

 

In his post-election speech, the President-General-elect, Hon. Comr. Okata Simon Dickson, commended the Chairman Isoko North Local Goverment Council, Hon Deacon Christian Iteire and other stakeholders for conducting and creating time to be on ground for the Ovrode election.

 

He said that his community under his watch would not lose any of their shares from the government and Oil companies operating in the community, expressing gratitude to God Almighty who made it possible for him and others to be elected as President-General and executives of Ovrode Community. He assured them that it is a new dawn in the community, adding that development of various dimensions would commence in earnest.

 

He explained that one of the main areas of focus with his executive would be geared towards uniting all sons and daughters of Ovrode Community together.
