Members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Delta Central and South have congratulated governor Ifeanyi Okowa for emerging victorious in the just concluded March 9 gubernatorial election in the state.
Addressing newsmen, President general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Delta Central and South, Chief Mike Eze said, “Our campaigns for the reelection of Sen Ifeanyi Okowa in Delta State was not in vain and the Ibos in the state are happy for the victory.
The Igbo people in Delta Central and South are very happy with the victory of Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa because they gave about 25 percent of the total vote caste and we can beat our chest to that and we are glad the Ndigbo are not left out.
“We want to thank Deltans and Ohanaeze Ndigbo for coming out enmas to identify and for one of their own to vote for Governor Okowa continuity till 2023.
In Delta State we have home because we are living in peace and the government of Okowa has identified with us in every area.
Deltans and Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Delta Central and South are happy and they are expecting him to do more in the next four years of the second tenure and today in Delta State, the Igbos are not left out and I believed we contributed vigorously to his reelection.
Also speaking, the Special Assistant to Delta State governor in Non Indigene, Nze Francis Onuora said, “I am happy because my people voted massively for governor Ifeanyi Okowa because we believed that he is our own and he is doing well.
“We know that he will lead Delta to the promise land as a smart governor with the vision of prosperity, we are solidly behind him until his project finishes in 2023
The immediate past President general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dcn Jerry James, expressed joy over the victory of the governor.
According to him, We came enmas to support, vote and protect our votes and the Ndigbo are happy that one of their own is leading Delta to the next level of infrastructural development.
