The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ughelli Correspondents Chapel has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Chief Amos Itihwe, describing the late politician as a man with genuine heart and the fear of God.
The Acting Chairman of the Union, Comrade Sunday Apah who led members of the union on the condolence visit, said late Chief Amos Itihwe was an astute politician with genuine heart, a Christian with the fear of God, who will be missed by the church, political family, associates and the NUJ.
According to him, “he was the patron of NUJ, Ughelli Correspondents Chapel and his input towards the success and existence of the union was noticed.
“The death of Olorogun Amos Itihwe came to us as a rude shock but God knows why it came at this time. Sleep on our patron.
He assured the family of the Union’s participation in the burial plans. “We should be involved in the plans for us contribute and give our patron a befitting burial”, he added.
