As the lobby for the leadership of who becomes the 9th Senate President heats up, Delta Youths under the aegies of Coalition Of Concerned Urhobo Youths (CCUY), has endorsed Sen. Ahmad Lawan as Senate President and Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege as the Deputy Senate President respectively.
The group in a statement by Comr. Ogheneochuko Onajite and Mr. Onemu Friday, Chairman and Secretary of the forum respectively, noted that it’s endorsement of the dou was based on their wealth of experience and unreserved loyalty to the All Progressive Congress, APC as a party.
It said, “the candidature of the person of Sen. Ahmad Lawan and Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege is a welcomed development that will speaks well of the party APC if they’re both considered for the exalted positions, because the duo are Smart, Qualified, Capable and has the intellectual prowess to take Nigeria to Next Level.
The leadership of the group also called on all Urhobos both home and in diaspora to rally around their own Son and brother, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to enable him clinch the Deputy Senate President seat, that will make him the first Urhobo to attain such exalted position.
“We are using this medium to appeal to all the Elders, Leaders and Stakeholders of Urhobos Nation, Senators to see beyond oneself and support Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege for position of the Deputy Senate President”.
