LG Election: Ofomukoro Withdraws, Commends Supporters, As PDP Picks Consensus Candidate In Ughelli North

The chairmanship aspirant for Ughelli North Local Government Area, under the Peoples Democratic Party, Comrade Lucky Olerhimena Ofomukoro, JP, has withdraw from the race just as he  commended his teeming supporters for believing in him and defending his aspiration with their time and energies.

Ofomukoro had in a thank you message to his supporters disclosed that all hope is not lost as they have all created a bond that will strive for them to contribute their quota for the development of Ughelli north.

According to him, “It has been a long walk, a journey to the greatness of all our people and we shall get it some day.

“The tensing political atmosphere ahead of the Delta State Local Government Council Elections in Ughelli North has been calmed down by the party leadership unanimous decision for a peaceful consensus candidate for the interest of our party.

“We have decided to respect and abide by that decision.

“From the depth of my heart, I want to sincerely thank you all our team, political associates and friends who stood by me from the start of this project in any capacity.

“May God in heaven send your rewards through men on earth. I can’t repay the debt of this honour and support given to me.

“Without mentioning names, I appreciate everyone who has contributed to making this project a success. I know you all and I appreciate all you did for me.

“In you, we have created a bond that will strive to contribute our quota to the great and development of our dear LGA and State.

“Our dream is not shattered, we have made our mark and we will continue to push until we get there. Together we will continue to support the M.O.R.E Agenda of our dear governor, H.E Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff F.O Oborevwori. Once again, thank you for everything, I’m grateful.

“I thank you all, for your belief and faith in our great party, PDP and my humble self to save our Ughelli North LGA from poor leadership and move our communities on the path of a clear visionary leadership to serve you to the best of my ability.

“Let me reassure you that no hope is lost, we shall get it right some day. My ambition is not a do or die affair, the choice of who becomes our next Council Chairman is an exclusive party affair, not a personal affair.

“I also wish to inform you of my withdrawal from the forthcoming council election in Ughelli North. My time will come some day.

“My dear political family and friends, let us join hands to support the candidate of our party for the next council election as a one united family for the larger good of our dear party PDP.”
