Kidnapped LG Chairmanship Aspirant, Hotelier Released In Ughelli

 

TWO prominent residents of Ughelli North local government area of Delta state recently kidnapped have regained their freedom after spending nearly weeks with their abductors.
The duo, Hon Onovughe Stephen Onokpasa, a chairmanship aspirant in the forthcoming local government election in Ughelli North and the CEO of Emodic hotels, Mr David Emavwodia were recently abducted at different locations within Ughelli North respectively.
It was gathered by this medium that, Hon Onovughe Onokpasa was kidnapped at Ovwodokpokpo-Ogor community, while Mr David Emavwodia was abducted in an unknown destination.
Both of them spent days in their kidnappers den before they were released as it could not be confirmed if ransom was paid.
A family source who spoke on the release of Onovuvghe Onokpasa disclosed that after he was kidnapped, the family was contacted by his abductors for ransom but I cannot confirm if money was paid to secure his release.
While it was learned that the CEO of Emodic Hotels that was kidnapped on last Tuesday, was released on Sunday morning as it could not be ascertained if ransom was part with to secure his release.
That Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright could not be contacted as at the time of filling this report.
