Jifas Ogbon Presents Education Material To Delta School Pupils

Primary School Pupils from different schools in Delta state were filled with happiness as Prince Sony Jifas and his wife, Princess Victoria Ogbon distributed educational writing materials various schools in Ughelli South, Ughelli North, and Ethiope East local Government Areas of Delta State.

 

Prince Sony Ogbon while flagging off the presentation to schools across the local government areas said, “This is part of my plan to contribute to the society and encourage the children towards education.

According to him, “The gesture is to assist parents with educational materials in order to promote academic excellence and also encourage the teachers to be committed and dedicated to teaching the children.

Addressing members of staff and pupils of Ogun primary school Ovwor Olomu in Ughelli South Prince Ogbon said, “I am aware of the difficulties and challenges some parents passed through in providing learning materials to their wards especially now that the country economy is not stable.

“I always feel bad whenever I thought of it because this has deprived so many children of continuing their academic pursuit and in my little way I decided to support and encourage the children because they are the foundation of any great nation and as well encourage the teachers.

Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon further urged the pupils to take their studies serious and make judicious use of the books and other learning materials given to them.

Prince Ogbon stressed that these learning materials are some of the obstacles and problems hindering children educational career, by the grace of God, you have gotten them and you must ensure that you maintain everything that have been given to you”.

He therefore admonished teachers for their roles in building a stronger nation by giving quality education to pupils in primary schools.

He expressed further that Primary education was not the only foundation for human capital development but national progress.He therefore assured the pulpils and members of staff of his continuous efforts to support as long as he lives.

Addressing Journalists, Prince Ogbon appealed to old students’ Associations of Primary Schools, social groups, humanitarian organisations to contribute towards the development of primary schools in order to improve on their academic activities.

A pupil who benefitted from both uniforms and books, Umukoro Michael lauded the gesture and initiative of Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon. This kindness will spur me to concentrate more in my studies.”
