The Isoko Monitoring Group (IMG) has advised elected and appointed political leaders from the Isoko nation to put the interest of Isoko land above their personal interest.

This was contained in a Christmas message by IMG to the people of the Isoko nation.

The message signed by the group’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Kingsley Oroh read: “We want to charge all political leaders, both elected and appointed, to put the interest of Isoko people and Isoko land ahead of their personal interests.

“They should understand that their office is a public position designed for the service of the society and its people.

“We pray for them that the love of Christmas fills their hearts and give them the enablement to prioritize the interest of the people, without whom they cannot serve in whatever position they are either elected or appointed to function.

“In this season of love, we pray that the love of Christ should fill your hearts and families, and may God safely lead us into the new year, 2020.”
