Comrade Akpobome Rufus Ibebe, has been reelected and returned unopposed as the National President of Ekiugbo Grammar School Old Students Association, EGSOSA, with nine others as executive members.
Comrade Ibebe was returned as the national president of the institution at a reunion held on Wednesday after the new year at Ughelli, Delta state.
Among those elected with Comr. Ibebe are, Comr.Oghale Egbabor, Vice President, Come. Onoriode Kennedy Ugoma, Secretary, Come. Henry Atotis, Assistant Secretary, Comr.Irikesiebe Anthony, Treasurer, and Comr. Collins Ajomayane, Financial Secretary.
Others are, Comr. Igho Orobosa, Program Director, Comr. Onoriode Mudiaga, Publicity Secretary, while Comr Franca Mamus Tobore and Meshack Esakpaide are Welfare Officer and Provost respectively.
The reunion brought together old students from different classes 93/94 to 2018, to share ideas and brainstorm on issues bordering on their alma mater.
It was learned that Comrade Akpobome Rufus Ibebe was returned as national president of the Old Students Association after a vote of confidence was unanimously passed on him by the leaders and stakeholders for another tenure.
It was a colourful event as old time friends and classmates reconnected to share fun memories and experiences of their formative years at our prestigious alma mata.
On his part, the national president, Comrade Akpobome Rufus Ibebe appealed to all old students Ekiugbo Grammar School to identify with this body, irrespective of the class or set they belong
“Let us all come and work together to build our institution to an enviable height, and stage where we can work on projects aimed at developing and giving back to our beloved alma mata.”
