Chairman of Egbema and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, Ambassador Jude Ebitimi Ukori has stated that the hand-over of the cottage hospitals at Oporoza and Polobubor communities to Delta state government for running was a dream come true.
Ukori who made this known during the handing-over ceremony of the cottage hospitals to the Delta State Government, said it was a dream come true because inspite of the abundant natural and human resources, they have been for over the years denied access to health care facilities, quality education, electricity supply, portable drinkable water and good roads by successive governments.
According to him, with the handing-over of the hospitals, it’s an indication that the present government in Delta state led by Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is an all-inclusive and willing to positively impact on the lives of riverine rural dwellers of the state.
He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for taking the laudable steps to initiate the Contributory Health Insurance Scheme that made the take over possible.
Ukori advised people of the host communities to always create a conducive environment for the management and staff of the hospitals to promote development and attract more projects to their communities.
