PANDEMONIUM broke out in Ughelli metropolis Tuesday morning as people scampered for safety when fire broke out at Wetland Hotels, located along the Ughelli axis of the East West Road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
Though no life was lost as the report was sketchy, it was gathered that the fire started from the power generating sets house before it escalates to the security guards house.
The generating sets house and the security guards house were partially destroyed before the arrival of the Delta State Fire Service and NPDC fire fighters.
A Director of the Hotel, Richard Kpedi Esq who spoke via the phone said, “The fire was as a result of electrical fault that emanated from the generator house.”
As at the time of this report, normal at the hotel has resumed, as no life was lost. The workers of Fire Service were seen arranging their equipment into their trucks, when newsmen visited the scene.
