Ughelli North Local Government Area is among the three highest receiver of the Federal Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, in Delta state from monthly from the Federal government.
Our information was obtained from the website of the National Bureau of Statistics. We are using the allocation distributed to states and local governments in the month of April 2020 as our basis for our analysis.
For the 25 local government councils in the state, a total of N3.8billion was distributed to the councils by FAAC. But the money was not distributed equally to all the local government areas. The reason for the disparity is not known to us. But we are presenting the figures as they are presented in the distribution made by FAAC to the 25 local government councils in the state.
From the figures we obtained from the NBS website, Ughelli North has the highest allocation in the month of April with the sum of N205million while Warri South got N191million. Burutu local government got N173milion.
These are the three local councils that received the highest allocation. Our analysis shows Patani as the council with the least allocation in the state. It received N120million in the month of April 2020.
