The chairman of Evbie Andrew foundation, and a renowned philanthropist, Engr. Andrew Evbie has donated five mono water pumps to Ogbovwan community to cushion the effect of water scarcity in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State.
Speaking at the community Town Hall, Evbie who also hosted Leaders and the executive of Ughelli Ward 3/7 of the people’s Democratic Party, PDP said, it is my desire to see that PDP as a party grow, dominate and win every election in the local government.
“With the forthcoming election, our coming together will help us to create a better synergy to ensure that we deliver our party.
On the water project Evbie said, “Often time I have seen that our people suffer from vulnerable diseases because they lack access to portable water and there is a saying that water is life.
“I was happy seeing them using the water even before this official commissioning and handing over to the community for usage and that will tell you that the community has longing to have this project
What I have done for my people today, by providing five mono water pumps at different locations in the community will going a long way to cushion and reduce the spread of communicable diseases and I am not expecting anything in return from. I want to see them happy and once they are happy, I am happy.
Earlier on his part, the president general of Ogbovwan, Prince Sunday Afonughe said, “This is not the first time Engr Andrew Evbie is doing good will to the community, many of our children are under his scholarship program from primary schools to tertiary institutions and he has come back to give us portable.
While we are grateful to the donor of this very important water project, I want to use this opportunity to appeal to sons and daughters of Ogbovwan to join hands together and build it because they have no other home than here. Afonughe held.
