Embrace New Leadership, Onoyona Appeals To Isoko people

The Isoko federal constituency candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Sylvester Onoyona, has called on the people of Isoko ethnic nation to embrace new leadership to move l to a new clime in national polity.

 

He made this call during a chat with newsmen at Emede, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

 

According to him, “The Isoko people have given the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opportunity to be in power for 23 years with their votes and have seen the results, it is time for the Isoko people to allow the All Progressives Congress (APC), to see what I can do.

“I feel there is need for me to serve my people to assuage every difficulty the current member’s misrepresentation and inactivity at the Green Chambers must have caused the Isoko people.

“I want to be the bridge to effective representation by providing the opportunities for the ethnic groups to be first hand beneficiary of government’s programmes and empowerments.

“I am going to dwell more on town hall meetings to have a clear understanding of what the Isoko people actually need; doing so, I would be working in tandem with the people’s wants,” Onoyona stated.

He assured the Isoko people that he is going to be the voice of the youths by providing sustainable youth empowerments to them.

“I want to have a direct relationship with the people, where I can interact with them and agree on their needs”, added

He also affirmed that he is well prepared for the 2023 general elections in all ramifications but believes in the grace of God Almighty.

The foremost candidate for the seat of the Federal House of Representatives noted that APC will do their best to curb vote-buying, adding that it is the cankerworm that has displaced people’s oriented representation for mediocrity.

He stressed that his campaign is going to be issue-based while he appealed to the Isoko people not to sell their votes in the forthcoming elections for pecuniary benefits.
