The gruesome murder of Delta State University student, Elozino Ogege by suspected yahoo boys has continued to generate more condemnation.
The founder of Elo-Isoko Campaign Organization,Sir. Ayodele Oghogho Othihiwa, FCA, has condemned in strong terms the gruesome murdered of a First Class, 300L Mass Communication female student of Delta state University ((DELSU), Abraka, Miss Elozino Ogege, whose sensitive parts were severed by a syndicate of internet fraudsters popularly known as “yahoo boys”.
Othihiwa, a former House of Representatives aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and runner up for Isoko federal constituency described the killing of Miss Elozino Ogege as evil and sin against humanity and her killer should not let go unpunished.
In a statement released by the Elo-Isoko Campaign Organisation office, Othihiwa who expressed deep fear over the high rise of ritual killings by both young and old people in the country, said, “It is unholy, babaric and unacceptable for anyone to take the life of a fellow humans under any guises or motive”.
He called on the Delta state Police Command to do everything possible to speed up the prosecution of pepetrators and ensure anyone connected to this heinous crime is brought to justice.
Condoling with the deceased family and isoko nation, Othihiwa appeals to Delta the state government to take a step forward by launching a campaign and strategic collaborative MOU between the security agencies, community leaders, schools management, real estate practitioners, house owners, car dealers, including hotel and club owners in the state as measure to curb the activities of these princes of darkness.
However, Delta state governor, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa has called on security agencies to clamp down on any suspected yahoo boys and be prosecuted with immediate effect.
