Efeludu Commends Adode Over The Renovation Of Ughelli Township Stadium
Ex-Captain of Super Sheraton Football Club in Ughelli North, Amb. Kpohraror Efeludu Emmanuel has commended the gesture and the bold steps of the Ughelli North Local Government Council chairman, Hon. Godwin Adode to renovate and maintain the defaced Ughelli township stadium.
It was learned that the roof Ughelli Stadium has been blown away by wind while the tracks are nothing to write home about.
According to Kpohraror who is the Ughelli North coordinator of ‘Not Too Young to Lead’ “Sport is a unifying factor and we must contribute our quota to ensure that it’s activities are revived back to the peak.
“Ughelli North has produced noble football players, athletes, we have the like of Apochi, late Clifford Cassidy of the Super Eagles and many others and to see the deplorable condition of the Stadium is worrisome.
“And for the Ughelli North Council Chairman, being a lover of sport that has brought honour to the local government took the timely intervention to renovate and maintain is a welcome development for the revival of sporting events.
“We are aware that the maintenance of the stadium is not under your jurisdiction, but due to the love and passion you had for sports in general and as a grassroot Coach you are, there’s need for you to do justice to the stadium by assisting and promoting the M.O.R.E Agenda Policy of the state Governor.
“Sports is a unifying factor and we all must contribute our quota to ensure that sports football and other activities in Ughelli North Local Government Council comes back to it’s peak.
“I want to use this opportunity to plead with sons, daughters, cooperate bodies, none indigenous people home and in the diaspora to kindly join hands with Chairman of Ughelli North to build and develop new talent to enable us curb the crisis rocking and destroying the youths of today.”
