DTHA Polls: Egbo Unseats Oharisi As Oniyere Floors Ibru, Ominimini

DELTA State House of Assembly candidate of the All Progrssives Congress,(APC),  in the Ughelli North constituency II, Barr Jaro Egbo has defeated the incumbent, Hon. Eric Oharisi in the just concluded Assembly elections in the constituency.

This is just as the APC candidate in the Ughelli North constituency I, Barr. Charles Oniyere defeated the immediate past chairman of Ughelli North Local Council, Hon Kenneth Ibru and former member of the board of DESOPADEC, Chief Ominimini Obieuwevbi in the election held in the constituency.

Declaring the result of the constituency, the Returning Officer, Dr. Clara Obehi, said, “Jaro Egbo polled 11,709 votes to defeat his closet rival Eric Oharisi who contested under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP with 10,740 votes. 

Also, the result for Ughelli North constituency II, the Returning Officer, Dr. Daniel Orumwese declared the candidate of the All Progrssives Congress, Oniyere Charles winner with total votes of 5,600 to beat Kenneth Ibru of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP who scored 3,618 votes and Chief Ominimini of the Accord Party.
