Ahead of the Delta State Local Government Elections, a frontline Councilorship aspirant for Agbarha Ward 1, Ughelli North on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Oghara Moses Akpojotor has appealed to party faithfuls and his teaming supporters to be steadfast in the ultimate goal to change the narrative of a true Local Representatives and keep faith with the party anytime for the poll.
Reacting to media report credited to the Delta State Governor of not conducting the Local Government Elections soon, he lamented the undemocratic act of Nigeria Governors towards the third tier of government which has become a stool to various State Governors with impunity. As he sued for Legislative Act to compel State Governors to strictly adhere to democratic ethos in conducting the Local Government affairs and demanded for full autonomy.
Comrade Oghara expressed confident that his party shall win the Council Poll in Agbarha-Otor anytime when the whistle is blow while encouraging members and other supporters to be ever ready and be focus as any delay is for the party favour in disguise.
He also felictated with Hon. (Barr.) Charles Oniyere, member representing Ughelli North Constituency 1 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Asaba on the occasion of our nation’s Diamond Anniversary.
“We are lucky to find in our Honourable Member his nobility of character, his rural common sense, his clever good-naturedness, in a word, all of the attributes that make a Father of a society the genuine architect of our assured and peaceful ascensions”, he added.
