Two persons have been reportedly killed in a rival cult groups clash in Orhuworun community , Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Though the two rival cult groups could not be confirmed as the time of this report but it was gathered that one of the deceased is popularly known as Commissioner.
The incident which was said to have occurred on Wednesday has thrown the entire Orhuworun community into crisis and confusion.
A source who pleaded anonymity said the area had been terrorised by suspected cult members for the past few days.
“I was close to the area when the clash happened, everybody scampered for safety, but we discovered later that two persons were killed.
“But I don’t know whether those killed are cult members, I could not confirm that for now. The area is tense, and no security operatives have arrived at the scene.”
According to a post made by Warri Aproko II, “Cult clash don claim one guy wey his name na commissioner for Orhuwhorun community.
“The rival cult members bvtcher commissioner leggo.”
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe could not be contacted as the time of this report.
