The Civil Society Advance Forum (CSAF) for sustainable development goals is set to hold its second national conference aimed at facilitating strategic partnership building between the key players to achieve the United Nation sustainable developmental goals locally in Abuja.
The ceremony which will be held at Dvenue event center at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja will feature exhibition and expo to showcase solutions that offers participants an opportunity to put a local perspective on achieving the sustainable development goals in Nigeria.
The conference will also create an opportunity to network with the private sector and government as well as hold workshops and thematic sessions to provide participants with tools on important subjects such as impact measurements and sustainability reporting.
The Secretary, Mr. Sylvester Itimi, while speaking with news men on behalf of the national coordinator Amb. Mrs Caroline Usikpedo-Omoniye on the goals and aims of the Civil Society Advance Forum on Sustainable development goals, stated that it is a corporate affairs organization registered not for profit making, with membership strength of over two hundred of Non-Governmental Organizations all over the thirty-six states across Nigeria.
He added that besides building solidarity among organizations across the country and building linkages between local and national organizations, it also aim to engage with the sustainable development agenda and committed to collectively empowering the marginalized and vulnerable persons to campaign against hunger, inequality and injustice.
He however assured the people of the success of the event while appealing to them to avail themselves, in order to exhibit their productions stating that their support and presence will go a long way in ensuring that their quest as a network in domesticating SDGs locally is attained. ,
