American music stars Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, and Ed Sheeran have joined Nigerian international pop singer Yemi Alade on the video game ‘Just Dance 2018′.
Developed by Ubisoft, the game is scheduled for release in October 2017 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch.
Just Dance is a motion-based dancing game for multiple players, with each game featuring a collection of songs that have their own dance choreographies. The game is set up such that players mirror the dance by following commands that appear on the screen, and they are awarded for their accuracy.
Just dance 2018 includes 40 of the hottest tracks of the year including “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Side to Side” by Ariana Grande ft. Nicki Minaj, “Chantaje” by Shakira Ft. Maluma, Yemi Alade’s ‘Tumbum’ and many more.
Yemi Alade, who continues to see her career rise within Africa and beyond, is the only African artiste featured this year.
In 2008, Femi Kuti’s voice was featured in Grand Theft Auto IV, where he was the host of radio station IF 99 (International Funk 99) described as ‘playing a great selection of classics from West Africa’ which featured Fela’s ‘Zombie’ and ‘Sorrow Tears and Blood’ in its playlist.
