Bayelsa Election: Timipre Sylva Banks On Score Card As Governor, Minister

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bayelsa state, Chief Timipre Sylva has called on electorate in the state to use his score card as a former governor and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources to vote massively for him at the forthcoming gubernatorial election slated for November, 2023.

According to him a support from the electorates would enable him to unseat the incumbent PDP Governor of the state.
Cheif Timipre Sylva former governor of Bayelsa State and immediate past Minister state for petroleum resources, is a strong contender, who may likely unseat Douye Diri and defeat other candidates.
Udengs Eradiri is another candidate that is popular, because he was the Ijaw Youths council leader and one time commissioner for Youths,he is the candidate for Labour Party.
Development and Infrastructure: Candidates are expected to address the need for improved infrastructure, such as roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and electricity, to enhance the overall development of the State.Security: Ensuring the safety and security of residents is a crucial concern. Candidates are expected to propose strategies to combat crime, militancy, and other security challenges in the state

Youth Empowerment and Job Creation: Unemployment and youth empowerment are significant issues in Bayelsa State. Candidates are expected to present plans to create job opportunities, promote entrepreneurship, and empower the youth through skills acquisition and training programs

Education: Improving the quality of education and access to educational facilities is a key campaign issue. Candidates are expected to address issues such as inadequate infrastructure, teacher shortages, and the need for quality education for all

Agriculture and Economic Diversification: Candidates are expected to focus on promoting agriculture and diversifying the state’s economy beyond oil. This includes supporting farmers, providing agricultural incentives, and attracting investments in sectors such as tourism and manufacturing

Environmental Sustainability: Bayelsa State is prone to environmental challenges, including erosion, flooding, and oil pollution. Candidates are expected to address these issues and propose measures to protect the environment and promote sustainable development
