High Comrade Sir Festus Ahon has officially taken over as the Chief Press Secretary, CPS to the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in Asaba.
Ahon was appointed shortly after Oborevwori was sworn in as Governor of the state.
According to his letter of appointment signed by the Permanent Secretary, office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Ogidi Gbagbaje Ahon was directed to resume immediately.
Speaking while handing over, the immediate past Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ifejika Oliseh who expressed happiness over the appointment of Festus Ahon said, “I am glad to have one of own from our immediate constituency to replace me as the new CPS.
“Festus Ahon has worked from the trenches to this stage and am prepare to contribute my quota to make him succeed whenever called.”
He appealed to staff of the office to give the new Chief Press Secretary every necessary support in the task ahead for the governor to hit the ground running.
Until his appointment, Sir Festus Ahon was a senior reporter for the Vanguard Newspaper.
