Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Adode presented a sewing machine and power generator to Mr Mike Ohimor a physically challenge cobbler.
Presenting the item, the Local government boss said, “I am always satisfied to see people of Ohimor’s nature to engage themselves and be self independent.
“The young man came to the office of the to solicit support to enable him do his shoe making work effectively.
“Anytime time he would visits me in the office, Mike would not demand for money but empowerment in other to expand his shoe making business.
“I have to take it upon myself to present these item to him so that he can be independent and i want others to emulate Ohimor and learn a skill.
The council is ready to assist in own little capacity those who are willing to learn a skill as we would not toleate any criminality in our local government.
On his part, Mike Ohimor who expressed joy and happiness for this kind gesture, said, “I was not expecting these item so soon from the chairman and i pray God almighty to grant him more wisdom to take Ughelli North Local Givernment to a greater height.
