Fmr Delta CP, Abaniwonda Reposted Back To Delta Few Days After Being Assigned To Rivers

The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of four commissioners of police to lead state commands across the country.

 

In a statement released on Wednesday by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, it was announced that CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, who was recently assigned to Rivers State Command, has been reassigned as Commissioner of Police for Delta State Command.

CP Peter Ukachi Opara has been deployed to Cross Rivers State Command. He previously held the position of Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, then moved to Delta State before being posted to Cross Rivers State.

CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala from Katsina State has been assigned to Rivers State, while Gyogon Augustine Grimah from Nasarawa State has been appointed to lead Kaduna State Command.

 

The Inspector General of Police has been notified of these postings through a letter signed by the Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), mni, PSC, NPM.

The return of  Mr Abaniwonda Olufemi to Delta State few weeks after he was transferred to Rivers State could certainly be the first in the history of the State.
