RESIDENTS of Oharisi street, Iwhreko community, Ughelli North local government Area of Delta State, have called on the state and local governments Ministry of Environment to urgently rescue them from the danger of contacting epidermis.
Oharisi Street, located at Ughelli Urban by Central Motor park is one of the most busy areas but its stinking odour is likely to break out horrible incurable diseases if the drainage is not maintained by the government.

“I have complained severally to the community chairman and other relevant authorities from the local government all to no avail. They have all turned deaf ears to our plight.
“I reported a situation where one of the saloons in the street connected its pipe of waste to the stagnant drainage and nothing has been done, i don’t know if they want me to clear the drainage for them at my old age.
“Before an epidermis broke out in the community, I am appealing to the Delta state ministry of environment, and all other relevant authorities to urgently come to our rescue from this impending danger.”
Effort to speak with the Iwhreko community president general, Engr David Omotor was not successful as calls to his mobile line were not connecting.
