From Akpovoke Otiti Asaba
A conclusive submission by Sonia McDonald reads… “Challenging times calls for challenging leadership skills in our sphere of influence”.
It is therefore rare in our clime these days to identify leaders with simplified aura that tends to connect people without a sight of the mind construction on the face, especially when being challenged with public pressure.
Today, Sir, Eddy Ogidi Gbegbaje bows out of Civil Service, a distinctive Man who courageously stand out amidst hard times. A man who lives and care more for others, a man whose name is on the lips of many youths, being old and young. He is a man who took others affairs as his personal problems, a father figure in the scheme of solving problems. A man who spends most of his savings on charity.
It is in respect of the above that Sir Eddy Ogidi Gbegbaje, is seen in this mould as a father figure, aka “King of Men” who has paid his dues and surmount fears and push ahead to succeed through dint of hard work, courage and awesome characteristics with the ultimate goal to ensure success and a better society for all, irrespective of social, political, economic, education and ethic differences.
Gbegbaje, is indeed a generational 21st century leader armed with pragmatic solutions to emerging societal problems, and known for being brave, courageous leader with a heart of gold, coupled with a spirit of giving.
Gbegbaje is a man of exceptional intellect, and with a capacity to make positive changes that has benefit the people as he pushes ahead in the journey of life.
The erstwhile Permanent Secretary is known to be a man that forges ahead with task, even with greater risk, most especially when he knows that the end result is for the benefit of humanity. He is a goal getter who is ready to take on difficult assignments with the aim of breaking jinx in human lives and existence. He is a man that is poised to break new grounds, make new discoveries that will help salvage humanity and propel a nation into greatness, ultimate peace and prosperity.
He is a father figure with creative instinct, and as a member of Knight, Catholic Church and Permanent Secretary Government House, he has brought innovations and creativity to bear in the Civil service, thereby bringing in distinctive approach to the affairs of men.
