Isoko North Legislative Arm Recall Suspended Six Members

Isoko North Legislative Arm has announced that six of its suspended members have been recalled after four months of their six months suspension.

The Leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt.Hon Francis Udubra, announced the lifting of the suspension during plenary on Thursday August 9th, 2023 in Ozoro, headquarters of the Local Government Council.

The six recalled Councillors are former Majority  Leader, Hon Olori Frederick, Ellu/Ovrode/Aradhe Ward II, Hon (Miss) Blessing Monday Igementi, Iyede Ward III, Hon Enahoro David Okoro, Otor-Owhe Ward, Hon Adaimoni Felix,  Ozoro Ward IIB, Hon (Mrs) Otugwo U. Gladys, Ozoro Ward III, Hon Ivuerah Emmanuel, Ozoro Ward I.

The Councillors were suspended in March 30th, 2023 for alleged gross misconduct, which was investigated by the house committee on ethics and privileges.

The Leader of the House, Rt.Hon Francis Udubra said the suspended lawmakers were recalled to foster peace and harmony among members as the tenure of the Legislative Arm gradually comes to an end.

Moving the motion for the recalling of the suspended members, the Chief Whip, Hon Abel Godwin Akpokorie said the suspended members were remorseful for their actions and should be recalled to perform legislative duties, and the motion was seconded by Deputy Chief Whip, Hon Freeborn Edeha.
