Suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa has joined the former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele at Department of State Services (DSS) detention.
Emefiele has been in DSS custody since Saturday following his suspension by President Bola Tinubu
Dr. Peter Afunanya, the Public Relations Officer of DSS disclosed this in a statement late last night, Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
He said “Bawa was invited by the DSS in relation to some investigative activities concerning him.
The statement reads: “The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago.
“The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.”
Bawa joins the suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele in the detention custody of the DSS.
