Musical instruments belonging to Anglican Church in Evwreni and Agbarha-Otor communities were allegedly stolen by a yet to be identified burglars in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
It was learned that the entire musical instruments of Saint Pauls’s Anglican Church Evwreni were stolen by hoodlum suspected to be burglars.
A source from the community disclosed that the church authority was called to attend political meeting with a notable politician and the Church refused attendance.
Few days later, suspected burglars broke into the church and stole all the musical instruments.
The clergy of the church raised alarm after discovering the stolen instruments and another notable politician replaced the stolen items when the church was holding a crucial meeting”. The anonymous source discloses.
At Agbarha-Otor, the Minister in Charge of St Andrew’s Church, Rev Charles Badawusi during the church announcement, revealed that, hoodlums broke into the church last week Tuesday and attempt to steal the instruments but the flash light of the security attached to the church made the hoodlums to flee”.
A source in the church that spoke on anonymous condition revealed that, the musical instruments of the church have been stolen twice and they were replaced by a parishioner.
The source further revealed that the instruments of Living Faith Church and other churches in Agabrha-Otor have been stolen severally.
