SDP House Of Assembly Candidate, Donates Relief Materials To Flood Victims In Delta

Delta State House of Assembly candidate, Ughelli North Constituency II, under the platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP,  Hon Adeda Okiotodoro Justice, has donated relief flood victims at Uwheru community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

 

Items donated to the victims at Uwheru Grammar School, by the visiting House of Assembly candidate included loaves of bread, noodles, and other relief materials to cushion the effects on them.

 

Addressing the Camp Commandant and the flood victims, Hon Adeda Okiotodoro Justice, said, his visit to the IDPs camp was more or less a familiarisation tour to ascertain the impacts of the recent flooding on his constituents with a view to ameliorate their sufferings.

 

“My visit is not to campaign, but to familiarize and give support to those who had deserted their homes following the devastating effect of the ravaging flood on their buildings and to let them know how I feels their pains.

 

“I urged politicians and well meaning individuals to put politics aside irrespective of their political affiliation and render help to the flood victims who were visibly suffering.”

 

Receiving the relief materials on behalf of Uwheru people in the IDP camp, Hon Loveth Onujuserio, and Comrade Godwin Efemena. They appreciated Hon Adeda Okiotodoro Justice, for the gesture just as they further beckoned on the federal, state governments and well meaning individuals to come to their rescue.

 

They remarked, “You can see the whole Uwheru market and people homes are being flooded and they are here. We need help from them in order to take care of these Internally Displaced Persons.

 

“So, let me appreciate the incoming Delta State House of Assembly member for this gestures. At least your message will get to our people here, I want to appreciate you so much. Thank you very much for your rescue, God bless you.”
