In ensuring the spirit of fairness and equity, Delta state chapter of Ndi-Igbo United Forum has called on the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party and other political parties to jointly stepdown for Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Part in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
This was contained in a statement made at the end of Ndi-Igbo United general meeting held in Ughelli, Delta state.
Speaking to news men shortly after the group meeting, president, Chief Titus Nwosu said, “For the sake of equity and fairness, the Igbo has been marginalized for a long time and we are calling on other presidential candidates to stepdown and support Peter Obi for president in 2023.
“The contributions of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu and others to the Nigerian project is not overlooked but it is our appeal that they should step aside for the interest of peace and equity in the country.
“We calling on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar candidate of people Democratic party (PDP), Ahmed Bola Tinubu candidate of the All progressive congress (APC) and others to step down for Peter Obi of labour party comes the General Election 2023
“Peter Obi is bringing to bear, his wealth of ideas which is the needed profile for the highest position in the country comes 2023 and all well meaning Nigerians should key into the project.”Nwosu revealed.
