Queen Elizabeth II: King Charles III Speaks As UK Declares 10 Days Mourning, Lower National Flag

The Heir to the throne of England, King Charles III, has described the death of her Queen mother as devastating in a sad moment.

 

King Charles III, who succeeded her mother, Queen Elizabeth II after 70 years on the throne said,”The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty, The Queen is a moment of the greatest sadness for me  and all my family.

 

“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much-loved mother.

 

“I know her lost will be deeply felt throughout the country, realms, the commonwealth and by countless people around the world.”

 

President of the United States, Joe Biden orders Flags to be lowered to Half-Staff to mark passing of Queen Elizabeth.

 

However, United Kingdom has declared a 10 days mourning to mark the official demise of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and lower the country national flags

 

Queen Elizabeth II was crowned on June 2, 1953, after becoming queen on February 6, 1952. She was the mother of the heir to the throne, Prince Charles, as well as the grandmother of Princes William and Harry.

As the longest-reigning monarch in British history, she attempted to make her reign more modern and sensitive to a changing public while maintaining crown traditions..
