Kidnapped Clergy Released After Spending A Week With Abductors In Delta

After spending nearly a week with his abductors in an unknown destination, kidnapped senior pastor of Kingdom Envoy, Rev Murphy Akpovi has been released to join his family members and congregants.
Rev Murphy was kidnap while returning from evening service few meters away from his resident at Afiesere community nine (9) days ago in Ughelli north local government area of Delta state.
It was gathered that while the clergy was kidnapped at Afiesere, two other unidentified women were also kidnapped at different locations in Iwhrekpokpor same day.

A close source to the clergy revealed that his kidnappers had demanded for N30 million ransom to secure his release as they would not accept N10 million offer.
“The kidnappers made contact and demanded for N30M and they made it clear that they will not accept N10 million.That same day, two women were kidnapped at Iwhrekpokpor community.
The clergy according to sources, has been released though, it could not be confirmed if the ransom was paid. He was released after spending five days at the kidnappers den.
Contacted, Delta State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Edafe Bright said, “A lady that was kidnap has been released. Not aware of the other incident”.
