Okowa, Ibori, Oritsejafor Attend Okobaro 10 years Coronation Anniversary In Ughievwen

Delta state Governor and former governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Chief James Onanefe Ibori and pastor Ayo Oritsejafor were among dignitaries that graced the 10th years coronation anniversary of the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, HRM Mathew Ediri Egbi, Owawha II, on Saturday, in Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.
Governor Okowa who expressed satisfaction over the speedy peaceful process between Okwagbe and Owawha communities in Ughelli South held that the government will resist any attempt to bridge the peace of the state.
According to the governor, “I want to congratulate the people of Ughievwen Kingdom for their peaceful conduct and the monarch who is worthy of the Delta State government support.
“I want to thank all our royal majesties for the role they played in terms of peace keeping and support to the government in ensuring that there is peace in the state.

“And for the people of Ughievwen Kingdom, I am glad that the issue between Okwagbe and Otor-Owawha, you are already handling it because I was worried about because in the past six years, the kingdom has been very peaceful and any thing that will stop the peace of this kingdom will be resisted”.

In his address the Ughievwen Monarch, appealed for the continuous assistance from the state government inroad construction and the appointment of sons and daughters of the kingdom into key positions in the government.
“I know you are going into electioneering year and by the grace of God, your finishing strong is sure as we strongly believed that you hand us over to a successor who will continue your good work.

The Monarch further revealed, “The issues between Otor-Owawha and Okwagbe is under control as both communities are cooperating with our peace efforts to bring a lasting peace and we will soon report to you on the peaceful resolution of the dispute”.
Dignitaries that graced the ceremony includes, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor,  Archbishop Solomon Gbakara, Archbishop God Do-well Avwomakpa, Chief Albert Akpomudje SAN, Hon. Mrakpor Peter, SAN, over 10 traditional rulers from the Urhobo and Ijaw ethnic nationalities, clergymen, amongst others.
